One injured in Crandall shooting

The Kaufman County Sheriff’s Office responded to the report of a shooting in the 8000 block of Kelton Drive in Crandall, Kaufman County, Texas on April 23, 2017 at 10:30 p. m.. A group of individuals were at a gathering at the home of one of the two victims.

BLACKBURN 2ND GRADERS TOUR KEY CITY LOCATIONS

On Friday, Apr. 21, second graders from Blackbiurn Elementary went on a field trip to tour the Forney Fire Department, the Spellman Museum, the Police Department, the post office, and City Hall.

Forney gun store burglarized; firearms taken in Apr. 17-18 break-in

Forney police are asking the public’s help in solving the burglary of a Forney gun shop in which several firearms were taken the night of Apr. 17-18, the Forney Messenger has learned. Surveillance video taken inside CYA Guns & Ammo, 200 East U. S.

MADISON HORTON QUALIFIES FOR REGIONAL GOLF TOOUIRNAMENT

On April 10-11, the Forney ISD golf teams participated in the District 15-5A Golf Tournament at the Rockwall Golf & Athletic Club.  Individually, Madison Horton, a senior from Forney High School, finished 6th overall at the district tournament. Overall she shot a two-round total of 172 (87-85).
