FPD opens ‘exchange zones

Forney police recently made it safer for local residents to conduct exchanges with people they’ve initially contacted online. The blue-striped parking spaces with blue signage at the Forney Justice Center are designated as “exchange zones”—and they’re monitored 24 hours a day.

FHS, NFHS COACHES HOLD ANNUAL 2-DAY KICKOFF TRAINING

Four members of the City Council who twice previously voted to terminate the City of Forney’s service and maintenance agreement with Markout Water Supply Corporation did not reconsider their action when the item came up for a third time during last Thursday evening’s regular Council meeting.

Markout’s members are entitled to some answers

Brian Andrews, president of Markout Water Supply Corporation’s board of directors, wants to know why the City Council has cancelled the maintenance and operations agreement the City of Forney had with Markout up until June 6, 2017. And so do the other board members and Markout’s customers.

STAR Transit announces public meetings; proposed fare restructure

Shooting incident leads to discovery of murder plot

KAUFMAN COUNTY, Texas—On June 21, 2017, the Kaufman County Sheriff’s Office received a report of trespassers on private property in the 15000 block of Valley View in Forney. Forney police officers and KCSO deputies arrived to find the victim holding the suspect at gunpoint.
