Fire Department to Lead Donation Effort for Tornado Victims The Forney Fire Department will immediately begin accepting donations at the Central Fire Station, 104 E. Aimee St., for the victims of this past weekend’s tornadoes in Van Zandt County.

Hwy 80 expansion "sneak peek"

The Forney Messenger got a "sneak peek" at the plans for the upcoming expansion of Hwy 80 that will be unveiled and on display at the City Council meeting on Tuesday at 6:30pm.

One injured in Crandall shooting

The Kaufman County Sheriff’s Office responded to the report of a shooting in the 8000 block of Kelton Drive in Crandall, Kaufman County, Texas on April 23, 2017 at 10:30 p. m.. A group of individuals were at a gathering at the home of one of the two victims.

BLACKBURN 2ND GRADERS TOUR KEY CITY LOCATIONS

On Friday, Apr. 21, second graders from Blackbiurn Elementary went on a field trip to tour the Forney Fire Department, the Spellman Museum, the Police Department, the post office, and City Hall.
