Forney police are investigating a fatal hit-and-run accident that occurred Saturday at the intersectiion of U. S. Highway 80 and FM 548.
According to a news story posteed on InForney.com, units from the Forney Police Department, the Forney Fire Department and CareFlite responded to an accident on westbound U S. 80 prior to FM 548. Police say the driver of a UPS 18-wheeler was struck and killed and that the driver of the vehicle that struck the victim left the impact scene. The inicdent took place just after midnight.
The driver of the truck appears to have exited the cab and to have been struck in one of U. S. 80’s traffic lanes.
