On Tuesday evening, I attended the last formal class meeting of the spring, 2017 Forney Police Department’s Citizens Police Academy. The Academy, presented for the first time ever, began Feb. 28 and consisted of 10 required sessions.

Last Sunday I headed to East Texas to assess the damage from tornados in Eustace, Canton, Fruitvale, Grand Saline and Emory. I first headed to Canton and found that all of the traffic lights were out because of the power outage.

If you take the Dallas Morning News, you may have seen a story on the first page of Tuesday’s sports section. The headline read, “Champion DeSoto may replace coach”.

I subscribe to a bunch of magazines and newsletters which I prefer to get in their paper versions. (Makes it easier to take them into the tub. But don’t worry. I recycle.) Most of these end up on the coffee table in my waiting room and are evidence of my very wide range of interests.

Joseph has been sold into Egypt as a slave to Potiphar, the captain of the guard there in Egypt. First, when Joseph was dreaming his dreams, he may have been a little arrogant around his brothers, but we see the strength of his faith when he became a slave.
