OUR FRIEND THE FROG
Body

Thirty-five years ago, our house was in the newest neighborhood in Forney. Highway 80 was the dividing line between “New Forney” and “Old Forney”. Beyond our back yard is Pinson Road and in those days, beyond that was nothing but cotton fields. No Mustang Creek Subdivision, no Diamond Acres, no Walmart.

It was just us; our kids were in the near future. We bought our new house from Fox and Jacobs who basically built three levels of neighborhoods. “Today” was the low end; “Accent” was what our neighborhood was; and “Flair”. their highest-end neighborhood, which wasn’t built in Forney. They started with “Todays”, then later started building “Accents” here. The best thing I could say about them is they were affordable and energy efficient.
