Joseph has been sold into Egypt as a slave to Potiphar, the captain of the guard there in Egypt. First, when Joseph was dreaming his dreams, he may have been a little arrogant around his brothers, but we see the strength of his faith when he became a slave. Joseph did not whine or complain, so when Potiphar saw the spirit of GOD in him, he turned his household over to him to run. GOD blessed Potiphar’s house and estate because of Joseph. Potiphar did not interfere and only knew about his meals. Maybe that’s the reason GOD chose Joseph to continue his plan to redeem mankind. Joseph never doubted GOD, even when Potipher’s wife framed him with a false charge of attacking her. When Potiphar sent him to prison, he immediately took over the prison because the warden of the prison saw the same thing in Joseph as Potiphar did.
