The way I’ve always understood it, freedom of expression is exactly what the phrase implies: freedom to say anything one wants, even if it’s unpopular or offensive. To me, that includes any kind of expression except what’s expressly forbidden by law.

I’m jealous of my older brother for several things, none of which include his being older. Mostly I resent the fact that he knew, seemingly from birth, what he wanted to do with his life (become a physicist) while I floundered around for years trying to get a clue.

Easter, like Christmas, tickles my memory cells. Both are festive holidays that can generate powerful emotional associations. My earliest memories of Easter come down from when I was probably 4. My sister, Les, and I awoke Easter morning to find baskets next to our beds.

There was unrest in Laban’s house because Jacob had become very wealthy while working for Laban. He had many herds of livestock and servants to tend them. He had already talked to Laban to let him go back to his homeland like GOD had told him to do.

I’ve written before about the hypocrisy of our nation when it comes to drug use. On the one hand, we label it a moral failing and a scourge. One the other hand, we push drugs like nobody’s business. Most magazines contain many multi-page ads for cholesterol pills or anti-depressants.
