Easter, like Christmas, tickles my memory cells. Both are festive holidays that can generate powerful emotional associations. My earliest memories of Easter come down from when I was probably 4. My sister, Les, and I awoke Easter morning to find baskets next to our beds. They were lined with translucent green paper or some other kind of wrap, When I opened the wrapping on my basket I saw colorful Easter eggs on a green imitation lawn made of grass-like confetti that was similar to the green paper lining.
Although I didn’t know the significance of Easter back then, I knew the basket and the eggs inside it were a gift—and Mom told Les and me that the baskets were from the Easter Bunny.
