The gospel of John chapter 2 tells of Jesus’ first miracle After Jesus had called His disciples, He was invited to a wedding. His mother was there and after the wedding was under way, they ran out of wine. Mary knew Jesus had the power of GOD in Him so she told Jesus that they had no more wine.

John the Baptist was sent before Jesus to announce His coming and begin the process of repentance and baptism. When the religious leaders heard of him they went to check him out. They thought John might be the Christ they were waiting for, but he didn’t look like a king or even a prophet.

Deep in our hearts, we all cherish a vision of the perfect childhood. Parents who were wise and loving. Siblings who were fun and supportive. A community dedicated to preserving our safety and offering us opportunity. The only problem is that no one actually HAS that childhood.

In my life I’ve owned and loved several dogs. Any animal I take in gets a cradleto- grave assurance of food, water, medical care, affection and respect. That being said, I really don’t like dogs much. This should come as no surprise to my sons, both of whom insist on owning large canines.

Israel had been brought back from exile and finally finished rebuilding the temple in 516 BC. GOD made one last call for them to return to Him before the coming of Jesus Christ. Once again Israel had become corrupt and had turned away from GOD.

Several years ago there was a fried Chicken place between Davis and Scyene Road just West of Highway 350 in Mesquite. I don’t remember the name but I remember the chicken well. Their fried chicken was pretty good, but the seasoning they would put on it was delicious.
