Stranger Than Most

As some of you already know, my beloved father is in failing health. For the last two weeks he’s been in a hospice house. Staying there with him has certainly been an education in how people deal with death and dying. First of all, this place is a palace compared to many nursing homes.

I had a good mom. She taught us a wealth of skills and provided excellent nutrition. She was into health food long before it was a thing. I just thought everyone ate wheat germ and had two vegetables (one green, one yellow) for dinner each night.
