GOD gave Israel detailed instructions for building the tabernacle and then gave the detailed instructions for serving in the tabernacle and gave the detailed instructions for taking down and moving the tabernacle and sitting it up again, now it is time to number the men who can become solders and fight the wars when they enter the Promised Land. Twelve spies (one from each tribe) were sent into the land to check it out and bring back a report to Moses and the people. The spies returned carrying a large cluster of grapes on a pole.
