MESQUITE, Texas - The Forney High School and North Forney High School Marching Bands both recently competed in the University Interscholastic League (UIL) 5A Area C Marching Band Competition on Saturday, Oct. 28 at Mesquite Memorial Stadium in Mesquite, Texas and advanced to the finals.

Third arrest made in CYA Guns and Ammo burglary

FORNEY, Texas — A third person has been arrested in connection with the most recent burglary at CYA Guns and Ammo in Forney, according to the Forney Police Department. 18-year-old Christian Esparza was arrested and charged with burglary of a building and engaging in organized criminal activity.

City opens new animal shelter
