Forney ISD Board of Trustees Appoints Becky Dobbs to Fill Vacancy

The Forney ISD Board of Trustees approved Mrs. Becky Dobbs to the Board of Trustees during a special called board meeting on Monday, June 25. Mrs. Dobbs replaces Mr. Keith Bell who announced his retirement from the board in May.

Forney City Council Hires New City Manager

After a nation-wide search, the Forney City Council voted to appoint Tony Carson as the new City Manager of Forney during the June 28 special meeting. Carson is currently serving as the City Manager in Pekin, Illinois, having been with the City of Pekin since November 2016.

Forney Fire Department Holds Badge Pinning Ceremony

Saturday June 23rd, the Forney Fire Department held a Badge Pinning Ceremony at CLife Church, for new firefighters and those who have been promoted recently.
In all there were 27 badges pinned with 8 being promotions.
