I am not “really big” on holidays as a whole and am happy to celebrate them before, after, or during the dates upon which they really occur. Sometimes, waiting until times are a little less hectic make the holiday get-togethers even more enjoyable.
I truly believe that my FAVORITE HOLIDAY is Thanksgiving, which is not what this article concerns, as you probably discerned when you first noticed the headline.
Father’s Day, in Catholic Europe, has been celebrated on June 19, St. Joseph’s Day, since the Middle Ages. Many countries have adopted the United States date, which is the 3rd Sunday of June.
