Jackrabbit Baseball Wins Bi-District Playoff Series

The Forney Jackrabbits face the Marshall Mavericks in the first round of the 2018 playoffs last week at Mike Carter Field in Tyler, Texas. Forney won the best 2 out of 3 series in 2 games, winning Game 1 3-0 and Game 2 6-0. Jonathan Childress got the call for Game 1.

NFHS Indoor Percussion Ensemble Brings Home Gold Medal

This past Saturday, April 14th, 2018 the North Forney Indoor Percussion Ensemble competed in the North Texas Colorguard Association Championship to defend their 2017 championship title. The NTCA Championship is the culmination of a season of 5 contests that began in February.

The above exact words were gleefully spoken to me approximately 27 years ago in the spring as I was returning to my classroom after lunch and had opened the hall door to my first afternoon English II Class. The speaker was a sophomore football player and his two football-playing buddies.
