I have been putting this off long enough. The Editor of this newspaper offered me this opportunity several months ago. I am sure he is surprised I have actually written it. He honored my family with an incredible article several weeks ago. I still can’t believe he did that.

On Tuesday, Dec. 4, Forney ISD Synergy students presented “Are Students Leading Your District?” at the national Learning Forward Conference in Grapevine, TX. Over 2,000 educators from more than 54 states and provinces and 10 different countries attended the conference.

Warren Middle School Cheer Squad Wins Awards at NCA State Championship Competition

DALLAS, Texas - The Warren Middle School cheer squad recently competed in the National Cheer Association’s (NCA) Texas State Championship competition and won several awards. The 17 member team consists of both 7th and 8th grade cheerleaders.

Forney ISD Adopts 2019 Attendance Zones

On Monday, December 3 the Forney ISD Board of Trustees approved the attendance zone modification plan that will go into effect August 2019. During the month of November, Forney ISD presented drafts at two public information presentations and a public hearing in the boardroom.
