Forney ISD Marching Bands Excel at Area C Marching Contest, Advance to UIL State Marching Band Competition

Mesquite, TX – On Saturday, Oct. 26 the Forney High School and North Forney High School marching bands took to the field to compete in the University Interscholastic League (UIL) Area C Marching Band Competition and finished with high marks.

Just 5 short years ago, the District’s enrollment was around 8,300 students. Fast forward 6 years later and any day now we will be enrolling our 12,000th student. We have experienced a tremendous amount of growth, but especially in the last two years, growing by almost 2,000 students.

Brews on Bois d’Arc a Huge Success

Where were YOU last Saturday? Downtown Forney was the place to be, with an estimated 5,000 visitors throughout the day coming out to the City’s first ever Brews on Bois d’Arc.

Moe, You Will Be Missed

If you ask anyone around town if they know Mawonn Smith, they may be unsure. But do they know Moe at the post office? Chances are, they do. Moe made his mark on our town with his courteous nature and joyful character.
