Specialized Veterans Unit Opens at Terrell State Hospital

(AUSTIN, TX) – In response to continued efforts by Rep. Bell to reinvigorate Terrell State Hospital, the Health and Human Services Commission has approved funds that will add a 20-bed unit addition that will focus on the needs of Veterans.

Pamela Musketness and Dottie Durrett, both members of the King’s Fort Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR), share a passion for preserving history. These two ladies spend much of their free time cleaning and restoring Historical Markers throughout Texas.
