Lady Jackrabbits Headed to Austin to Defend State Softball Title

On Friday, May 24th, Forney High School’s Lady Jackrabbits softball team faced Frisco Reedy in the Class 5A Region II final. The Lady Jackrabbits were motivated to win Friday night’s game, which would earn the team a spot in the UIL State Tournament for the second year in a row.

Local First Grader Named Girls with Heart Ambassador

Kaylee Hebertson, a spunky 7 year old from Forney, is living most tween girls’ dreams. Not only does she have her own YouTube channel and Instagram account (both of which are managed by her mom, Amberly), but she also recently became a Girls with Heart Ambassador for the Justice clothing line.

Forney ISD Announces New Director of Student Services

FORNEY, Texas – The Forney Independent School District recently announced the hiring of Ronald Sterling, Jr. as the District’s new Director of Student Services. Sterling comes to Forney ISD from Sunnyvale High School in Sunnyvale, Texas where he has served as the school’s principal since 2014.

Forney Voters Elect First Female Mayor

Forney voters made the historic decision to elect the City’s first female mayor on Saturday, May 4, 2019. Citizens are invited and encouraged to attend the canvassing of the votes and swearing in of the new Mayor and Council Members.
