Forney Food Pantry Continues to Serve Local Residents

In a diverse community such as Forney, many residents may overlook the fact that there is a significant number of our neighbors that may be struggling to make ends meet. Fortunately, Forney is also the home to many groups and individuals alike that are eager to lend a helping hand when needed.

Agency Seeks Public Comment on Services for Older Adults

Are you an older adult (age 60 or older), caregiver of an older adult, or a person concerned about aging issues? You are invited to attend a come-and-go public forum in the City of Forney, on Wednesday, July 10, 11 a.m. - 1 p.m., at the Forney Senior Center, 101 E. Main Street.

Forney ISD District Art Show

On Saturday May 4th, the 2019 Forney ISD District Art Show was held at the Forney Learning Academy. The new facility and larger venue allowed FISD the opportunity to showcase the outstanding artistic creations of students enrolled in the District’s art programs.

FISD Community Facilities Committee Recommends Bond Package

After studying the growth and needs of the district over multiple meetings in April and May, the Innovative School Facilities Planning Committee recommended the Forney ISD Board of Trustees call a bond election for November 5, 2019.
