Forney, TX - The Forney Education Foundation is dedicated to supporting the outstanding teachers in Forney ISD! Since 2008, the foundation has awarded Innovative Teacher Grants to Forney ISD teachers to enhance and improve educational programs in the classroom. On Monday, Oct. 7 the Forney Education Foundation announced its largest financial support for teachers ever when it presented a check for $90,000 to the Forney ISD Board of Trustees to fund Innovative Teaching Grants in 2019 for Forney ISD teachers.
“We are so excited to award $90,000 to the District to fund Innovative Teacher Grants this year,” said Kate Bell-Keierleber, the Executive Director of the Forney Education Foundation. “This is the largest amount we have ever donated for teacher grants since we began awarding grants in 2008. We would not have been able to provide such a large donation without the support of the community. The foundation received more than $20,000 from local businesses and individuals who adopted a grant this year! Their support and dedication to the foundation and to Forney ISD is incredible!”
