On March 21, 2019, the Ellen Brooks West Memorial Library Board of Directors met in the main area of the library. The meeting was called to order with a quorum at 7:00 p. m. by President Stormy Lemond, who also led the Pledge of Allegiance. Invocation was spoken by Don Themer.

FHS Art Students Compete in Region 10-E Visual Art Scholastic Event

FHS Visual Art students presented their artwork to judges at their annual regional event on February 23rd at Rowlett High School. Taking 81 pieces of work, they were awarded 69 regional gold medals and 4 area medals for their artwork.

FORNEY ISD HEALTH FAIR DRAWS MORE THAN 1,000 ATTENDEES

Forney ISD recently hosted the District’s 5th Annual Health Fair on Thursday, Jan. 24, 2019 in the cafeteria at North Forney High School. More than 1,080 people attended this year’s event that provided interactive booths, health and safety information, health screenings, activities and prizes.
