On March 21, 2019, the Ellen Brooks West Memorial Library Board of Directors met in the main area of the library. The meeting was called to order with a quorum at 7:00 p. m. by President Stormy Lemond, who also led the Pledge of Allegiance. Invocation was spoken by Don Themer.
Visitors welcomed were Cary Griffin and Zasik family members. There were no comments or concerns from Citizens.
Minutes from the previous meeting (Rachel Zasik) of 2/28/19 were approved as presented, and the Treasurer’s report (Judy Griffin) showed no change.
Old Business was a continued discussion of the possible formation of a Friends of the Library and some new information concerning this as presented by Rachel Zasik.
New Business (Stormy Lemond) concerned a proposal of a change to the by-laws (first reading) concerning an attendance/ absentees policy. Also, a discussion of the Library Website (Rachel Zasik) and a proposal of suggested Board Goals (Rachel Zasik) were both discussed and considered, and ideas were formed concerning improvements of the website and the writing of definite goals.
