Forney Fire Combat Challenge Participated in the U.S. Nationals

Last weekend, the Forney Fire Combat Challenge team participated in the U.S. Nationals combat challenge competition held in Branson, MO. The relay team made it to the Finals, where it was matched up against the Montgomery Fire Department and took home second place!

Forney Students win big at Area Special Olympics

JD and Olivia Bowdoin who are 7th graders at Warren Middle School competed Saturday September 29 at the Area Texas Special Olympics for Bocce Ball. They are currently playing with Rockwall County since it’s the closest. JD played with a Ramp Half Court and played 2 games and came in 1st place.

LARGE COW again visits

She arrived, bearing ice cream and “high fives.” On a Monday afternoon at the end of August, a LARGE COW appeared in the hallway and then made her way to the dining room at Three Forks Senior Living in Forney.

Forney Messenger Photographer Larry Golden Wins Second in State Fair of Texas Competition

This photo is from the Forney Community Park 4th of July Celebration. It appeared in the July 5th edition of the Forney Messenger. The photo placed second at this years Texas State Fair competition and will be on display in the Creative Arts Building During the State Fair.
