JD and Olivia Bowdoin who are 7th graders at Warren Middle School competed Saturday September 29 at the Area Texas Special Olympics for Bocce Ball. They are currently playing with Rockwall County since it’s the closest.
JD played with a Ramp Half Court and played 2 games and came in 1st place. He is planning to compete at State on Oct 19- 20 at A&M College Station. He will continue to practice at school and with his team on the weekends. JD has a story to tell with his ability to not give up when his doctors didn’t know he would make it to his first birthday. JD has CHARGE Syndrome and is deaf with a visual impairment. He didn’t learn to walk until he was 7 years old.
