“D-1” Fourth Grade Girls Basketball Team moving on!

Pictured is the 4th Grade Girls Team within D-1 Basketball, a “select basketball” organization in the DFW area, with competitive teams at all grade levels. These girls won the Silver Medal in the 4th Grade Division of the PSA (Plano Sports Authority) Holiday Tournament at the end of December.

The Forney Lady Jackrabbits took on the Terrell Tigers on Tuesday night in a district game and pulled out their 1st district win 47-35. High score was Tanae Fletcher with 13 points, Bracie Vaughn with 12, and Zavannah Rodriguez with 11. It was a great team win.

The final 2018 American Football Coaches Association Division II poll ranked the LIONS as the #9 team in the nation. This was their 3rd year in a row to conclude the season with double-digit victories and the 4th year in a row to advance to the Division II Play-offs.

Forney High School Student Athletes Sign Letters of Intent with Colleges

Several student athletes from Forney High School recently signed letters of intent to continue their sport in college. Cesar Eguia signed with Howard Junior College to play baseball and Hannah Holdbrook signed with Arkansas Monticello College to play soccer.
