Concrete work done on west side of S. Bois d’Arc

All concrete work to replace parking areas and the sidewalk on the west side of S. Bois d’Arc from Front St. to Trinity St. had been completed by Friday. Now, working crews hired by Axis Construction will begin work to rebuild the parking areas on S.

Axis is ahead of schedule

Axis Construction Co. officials told attendees at last Friday’s Donut Shop Summit that workers are ahead of schedule on phase 2 of the city’s street and parking renovation project in downtown Forney. They said that they’re lplanning to set the forms for parking reconstruction on the west side of S.

Forney Fire Department awarded FEMA SAFER grant

FORNEY, TX— The Forney Fire Department (FFD) was recently notified that the department would be receiving a three-year grant from the Federal Emergency Management Agency that would provide a substantial amount of funding that would allow the department to hire an additional six firefighters.

Local artist’s work placed in ‘Cary’s Corner’

Mayor addresses citizens at Latham Bakery
