It’s hard to even know where to start when writing a story about the Lady Jackrabbit softball team. This team overcame tragedy in the most public of ways over the last two years. Forney will never forget them and their perseverance.

Friday evening, May 24, at Wylie High School Pirate Field, the Forney Jackrabbit “Softballers” used a strong 2nd inning to set the tone for the rest of the game as they defeated Frisco Reedy, 11—1 (“run rule”), to advance to the State Finals in Austin.
