Funeral services for Robert W. Enas, 73, who died Saturday at Parkland hospital, Dallas were held in Grand Saline Sunday. Interment was made at Woodside Cemetery. The deceased was born in Van Zandt County, near the town of Van. He came to Grand Saline in 1892, and was employed at the Carrington Salt Plant for six years, as a cooper. He later operated a hotel here for four years and also at one time served Van Zandt as deputy sheriff. He left Grand Saline a number of years ago and was for sometime located in Forney, where he was employed by the Singer Sewing Machine Co. Robert Enas was married to Miss Callie Henderson in 1887 and to this union one child was born. This child is Mrs. Joe H. Jones of Forney. His wife died in 1880 and in 1893 he was married to Miss Cora Morris who died in 1912. To this second marriage there are four surviving children. These are: R. T. Enas, Dallas; H. C. Enas, Fort Worth; Mrs. J. W. Wells, Brawley, Calif.; Robert Enas, Grand Saline. In 1927 Robert W. Enas was married to Mrs. Della Ribble, who survives him. R. A. Enas, Van, a brother and Mrs. Ella Roberson, Forney; Mrs. Lissie French, Dallas; Mrs. W. J. Crosby, Grand Saline are surviving brothers and sisters. Robert Enas died at the home of his step-daughter, Mrs. Ben Clark

Freddie was born December 24, 1941 in Dallas, Texas, to C.J. and Ruby (Frank) David, both of whom preceded him in death along with his sister, Doris Dye and brother, CJ David.

She was born December 3, 1925, on Basket’s Ranch, Pushmataha County, Oklahoma to Stanley James Tilden Ridgway and Betty Birdsong, both preceded her in death. Her husband Richard Raymond Kozelski passed on February 5, 2017.

EVELYN C. YOUNG HENDERSON, born September 9, 1926, passed away on Easter Sunday, April 17th at 5:18 pm at the age of 95. She was born in Dallas, Texas. She moved to Winnsboro, Texas, at the age of six. She was preceded in death by her parents, Gus Young and Maud Stanley Young, her husband Johnnie L. Henderson, her son Johnnie Jr., sister Madeline Young Leath and brother Joe Young. She is survived by her daughter, Jayne Huffman and husband Bruce, daughter-in-law Glenda Henderson, grandsons: Matthew Henderson and Wesley Albin Henderson and wife Stephanie, her granddaughter, Jessica Gardner and husband Reed, and her great-grandchildren: Ezra and Kennedy Gardner, and Kathryn Albin Henderson and soon-to-be Joshua Albin Henderson due in June.

Phillip Henry “Hank” Green passed away peacefully on March 6, 2022 at the age of 92. He was born on May 29, 1929, in Guthrie, Oklahoma and was the tenth of eleven children of PJ and Lillian (Young) Green. He was preceded in death by his wife of 69 years, Mary Jean Green (Dobbs), and son, Phil Green. Henry was a loving and caring son, father, uncle, grandfather (Granddad), and great grandfather. He will be missed greatly by family and friends whose lives he enriched.

Kathy was born on April 10, 1938 in Royse City to Edward and Willie Mae DeMasters, both of whom were there to greet her in Heaven along with her husband, Jack William Yingling.

Michael Henry Harris, longtime resident of Forney, passed away peacefully on January 20, 2022 at his home surrounded by family. He was born January 15, 1939, in Dallas to Henry Francis and Nada Amelia (Willingham) Harris. Michael grew up in the Dallas area and enlisted into the Texas National Guard on Feb. 22, 1956, right after his 17th birthday. During the initial 4 years of enlistment, he exhibited many skills in leadership and planning and attained the rank of Sergeant. Michael then completed Officer Candidate School in August 1960. He continued in faithful armed forces service for another 36 years, achieving the final rank of Brigadier General. During his meritorious service, Michael held numerous positions as an officer including Tank Platoon Leader, Battalion Officer in Communication, Electronics, Operations and Training, Brigade Intelligence and Operations, Brigade Commander and Executive Officer, Chief of Training for State Area Command (STARC) as well as Assistant Division Commander for both Support and Maneuver. Michael was also awarded several medals for his service to his country including the Legion of Merit, the Meritorious Service medal with three Oak Leaf Clusters, Army Commendation Medal with Oak Leaf Cluster, and Army Achievement Medal.
