It happens every year as February starts looking toward March. Girl Scouts in the USA turn their heads and their hearts toward their sisters in lands overseas and start thinking about the many cultures represented in the World Association of Girl Guides ad Girl Scouts (WAGGS). And chances are good that our sisters across the sea are also thinking about us. Last Saturday, Feb. 18, Forney’s Girl Scouts celebrated World Thinking day with booths representing some of the countries where Girl Guides ad Girl Scouts seek to make a difference in their communities, just as Girl Scouts in the U. S. do. Information about countries within WAGGS was displayed at each booth. Some booths had music and most of them offered sample national foods. And fun was the rule no matter what booth you visited! Feb. 22 is officially observed as World Thinking Day in the U. S. ¡(Story by Cary Griffin, Public Relations Specialist, Girl Scout service Unit 183
