On Friday, Apr. 21, second graders from Blackbiurn Elementary went on a field trip to tour the Forney Fire Department, the Spellman Museum, the Police Department, the post office, and City Hall. At City Hall, Assistant City Manager Wendle Medford and City Manager James Fisher led the students, their teachers and adult chaperones on a tour of both floors, and Mayor Rick Wilson talked to them at some length, at times testing their knowledge of Forney history. The second graders were divided into three groups during the field trip and each group arrived about 30 minutes apart.
