Brenda Samples, 70, of Terrell, passed away in the early hours of Thursday, May 26th after a courageous battle. She was surrounded by her husband and two children at the time of her passing.
Brenda was born on October 26, 1951, to John R. (Rick) Dix and Melba June Rutledge Dix in Macomb, Illinois.

Forney City Manager Hires Director of Information Technology
FORNEY, TX – After a diligent interview process, the City of Forney is excited to announce the hiring of Joseph Yazdanpanahi as Director of Information Technology.
As a columnist for a newspaper that chooses to concentrate on only uplifting news, I try and keep my offerings motivating, inspirational, or at least contemplative with a sprinkle of happy ending.

Penning a weekly outdoors column is an endeavor I have enjoyed for the past 36 years but, at times, I find it a challenge to come up with a topic that I hope to be interesting and maybe even informative.
