The City of Forney will hold a special election on Tuesday, November 3, 2026, for qualified voters to consider Proposition A, a $49.5 million general obligation bond proposal for a combined recreation center and municipal library.
If approved, the bonds would fund a single City-owned facility. The recreation center portion would be leased to and operated by the YMCA, while the City would own and operate the municipal library.
The proposed facility could include space for recreation, fitness, youth and senior activities, along with librar y services and educational programs.
Early voting runs October 19 through October 30, with Election Day on November 3.
