…To sleep, perchance to dream… Hamlet The big dream that George Brown had many years ago about helping graduates in Forney ISD achieve their dreams came to fruition in the form of the Forney Education Foundation. Since its beginning in 2003 and its formalization in 2004, FEF has awarded over $1,165,000 in teacher-requested grants and over one hundred thousand to dual-credit, AP, and CTE students as well as over $2 million in scholarships form 2004-2017 when then Eastfield College partnered with the District to provide dual credit scholarships. When community members like Dallas College Eastfield realize how many advantages students in Forney ISD have at their disposal for their futures, the benefits are easy to give to them.

The students in Forney ISD also have big dreams that they have worked hard to make happen. The Class of 2025 received their high school diplomas on May 23. Some members of the Class of ’25 have also received an Associate’s Degree from Dallas College, and some members of the Class of ‘25 graduated earlier in the school year through the GOALS program. Regardless of when they officially graduated, these students achieved one of their big dreams – Graduation.

And now here is the fun part for the Forney Community – your opportunity to help the students in Forney ISD achieve the Big Dreams! The teachers in the district that submit teacher-requested grants do so to enhance the classroom experience for their students, i.e. to achieve their dreams. Summer is when the ideas for grants come to fruition for the amazing educators in this district. So by visiting www.forneyisdfoundation. org you can help fund those dream-enhancing ideas! Go see what the Foundation has been helping with this year and make some dreams come true!
