McPherson College, a four-year private college located in central Kansas, announces the names of students earning degrees and graduating from the college on May 10, 2025. A complete list of graduates and the ceremony is on the college website, mcpherson.edu/graduation.

Dao Phayvanh makes the President’s List at

Western Technical College

Dao Phayvanh, from Forney, TX was named to Western Technical College’s President’s List of High Distinction for the Spring 2025 term.

To be included on the President’s List, students must achieve a grade point average of 3.5 or higher and carry six or more credits in an associate’s degree or technical diploma program.

McPherson College Announces Spring 2025 Honor Roll

McPherson College, a four-year private college located in central Kansas, recognizes its highest academic achievers in its spring 2025 Honor Roll and Honorable Mention.

Students must be enrolled full-time and earn a grade point average of 3.55 or higher during the last term to qualify for the honor roll. Students earning a grade point average of 3.25 to 3.54 are named to the honorable mention.

The University of Texas at Austin

The University of Texas at Austin proudly celebrates the accomplishments of more than 9,000 spring 2025 graduates.

These undergraduate, graduate and doctoral students have earned their degrees across UT’s 17 current degree-granting colleges and schools.

UT Austin celebrated its 142nd graduating class during Commencement ceremonies on May 10. Taylor Sheridan, the creative force behind television blockbusters such as “Yellowstone” and “Landman,” was the featured Commencement speaker.

Nivin Sunesh of Forney graduated with a Bachelor Of Science In Biomedical Engineering.

Kehinde Olaleye of Forney Earns Degree from University of Maryland Global Campus

Alexis Moore named to President’s List for Spring 2025

Kehinde Olaleye of Forney, earned a(n) Master of Science in Cyber Operations from University of Maryland Global Campus in winter 2025.

In recognition of academic performance, the Office of Academic Affairs at University of the Cumberlands has announced that Alexis Moore of Terrell, Texas, has been named to the President’s List for the Spring 2025 semester.

To be eligible for the President’s List, students must be enrolled in at least 12 credit hours (a full course load), maintain a minimum cumulative grade point average of 4.0 for the semester, receive an “A” grade in UC Engage, and be in good academic standing. (Note: All students who are named to the President’s List automatically make the Dean’s List, since the Dean’s List requires a minimum semester GPA of 3.5; however, Cumberlands only lists students on either the Dean’s List or the President’s List, to avoid overlap.)

Lillian Weadon Graduates from South Plains College

Lillian Weadon of Forney, TX, graduated with their AAS in Business and General Business Certificate from South Plains College in Spring 2025.

Weadon was among more than 800 students recognized for their academic achievement and resilience in a changing world. On behalf of South Plains College, we’re proud to add Lillian Weadon to the growing list of South Plains College alumni.
