Two Forney ISD students have earned a spot in the Texas Spanish Spelling Bee 2025 state competition scheduled for June 18-19, in El Paso, Texas.

Both students qualified through their award-winning performances at the Region 10 Spanish Spelling Bee hosted by Region 10 Education Service Center on March 26.

Jazlyn Zambrano, a 4thgrader from Wilson Elementary School, placed 3rd in the 4-5 grade division at the regional event, while Gabriela Perez-Bacot, a 6th-grader from Jones Intermediate School, earned 2nd place in the 6-8 grade division.

The Texas Spanish Spelling Bee will bring together top spellers from across Texas, where Jazlyn and Gabriela will compete for the championship title. We wish them the best of luck as they compete at the state level, where they will have the opportunity to qualify for the National Spanish Spelling Bee.
