The Forney Police Officer Association and Forney Professional Firefighters Association have announced their endorsements for Jason Roberson for Forney Mayor and Cecil Chambers for City Council.
“In just one term as Mayor, Jason Roberson has been proven to be one of the strongest advocates for police officers and firefighters,” said Curtis Billings, President of the Forney Police Officer Association.
“His efforts are helping us better protect the safety and wellbeing of families across our entire city. We enthusiastically endorse his reelection and look forward to his continued efforts to keep big city crime away from our special community.”
“Families across Forney are safer thanks to the leadership of Mayor Jason Roberson,” added Josh Conrad, a Representative of the Forney Professional Firefighters Association. “He is working hard to provide us with the tools and technology we need to provide the highest quality emergency response services during a fire or medical emergency. We look forward to many more years of his service to Forney.”
The police and fire associations also support Cecil Chambers’ reelection to the City Council.
“Cecil Chambers has 100% earned the support of Forney first responders,” said Billings. “Smart, honest, and hard-working, he is the perfect example of what we should all expect from a Councilman. He has earned the endorsement of the Forney Police Officer Association and Forney Professional Firefighters Association.”
In addition to announcing their support for Jason Roberson and Cecil Chambers, the Forney Police Officer Association voiced their concern over Nofel Molai, a candidate for City Council.
“Last year, voters overwhelmingly approved funding to hire more police officers, and provide tools to help protect Forney families. However, Nofel Molai and his social media political operatives actively opposed CCPD (Crime Control & Prevention District) funding, which would aid in increasing public safety efforts. Equally troubling, he has yet to condemn the anti-police vitriol promoted on social media by his supporters. This leads the Forney Police Officer Association to believe he shares their radical and hateful ideology,” said Billings.
