Golden Chick opened the doors to its first restaurant in Crandall, marking its 103rd restaurant in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. The latest Golden Chick is located at the intersection of U.S. 175 and FM 148, close to the Rusted Rail Golf Club, multiple local elementary schools and Crandall High School, making it the perfect pitstop for locals and commuters alike.

The Crandall restaurant is owned and operated by firsttime Golden Chick franchisee Zak Kassem and is the sixth grand opening so far in 2025. The locally based chicken concept has had an explosive new year in terms of store count growth, having officially welcomed five restaurants in both new and well-established markets in January alone.

“2025 is shaping up to be an extremely promising year for the brand,” said Mark Parmerlee, CEO of Golden Chick. “Growth has been at the forefront of our minds over the past few years, and we are fortunate enough to be expanding at historic rates in the first month of 2025. 103 Golden Chick locations in the greater DFW is truly incredible, especially since this is the area we call home.”

Along with its strong franchisee pipeline, Golden Chick has added an emphasis on its corporate growth as well, continuing to implement its concentric growth strategy across the board, strengthening its presence in well-known markets like Dallas-Fort Worth, but also venturing into neighboring trade areas where it has built anticipation for its delicious menu offerings.

“We’re looking forward to welcoming Zak into our Golden Chick franchise family and are excited for the fresh ideas he can bring to the table. We’re excited to serve the Crandall community,” added Parmerlee.
