The City of Forney is proud to announce an exciting new chapter for Forney Youth Soccer, as the program transitions to operate under the Forney Parks and Recreation Department.
The transition will allow the Parks and Recreation Department to assign full-time, dedicated staff to assist and facilitate the needs of this growing league. While this is a significant step for the city, parents and players can expect minimal changes. League rules and age groups, serving children ages 3-15, will remain the same.
“We are thrilled to welcome youth soccer to the Parks and Recreation Department,” said Kyle Rouvaldt, Director of Parks and Recreation. “This transition allows us to better meet the needs of our growing soccer community while enhancing the quality of services provided to our residents.”
Registration for the upcoming spring season will open on January 1, 2025, with games scheduled to begin after spring break. Families interested in joining the league can visit the city’s website for more information: https:// www.forneytx.gov/1130/FRS-Youth-Soccer.
