The Keith Bell Opportunity Central (OC) recently won four “Stars of Distinction” for Design, Planning, Community, and Transformation at the 2024 TASA/TASB Exhibit of School Architecture. This exhibit includes 41 projects from 30 school districts, two college systems, and one state school that were submitted by 21 architectural firms. To be eligible for consideration, projects must be newly constructed or renovated public education facilities completed in the past five years and not previously submitted in this annual exhibit.

The Exhibit of School Architecture awards are given at the discretion of a 12-member jury, which includes school board members, school administrators, and members from the Association for Learning Environments (A4LE) Southern Region.The exhibit awarded Stars of Distinction for Excellence to 24 projects in one or more of the following six areas: design, value, wellness, community, planning, and transformation.

Winning projects will be showcased at txEDCON24 and the TASA | TASB Convention in late September. Projects will also be featured in the online exhibit at www.texasschoolarchitecture.org.
