Mary Louise Tinker, widow of James Earl Tinker, went to Heaven on Saturday, July 13, 2024.

Mary was born on October 12, 1956, in Sturgis, MI, a daughter of the late Richard Lowell Smith and Helen Gertrude Smith. She attended the University of Phoenix and graduated with a Masters in Business Administration.Throughout her life, Mary exemplified a profound dedication to public service and helping others. Her career was marked by securing grants for aid initiatives and assisting the less fortunate through her roles at the Central Oregon Council on Aging, the Santa Clara County Council on Aging, eventually serving as COO for Sourcewise, and as Executive Director for Bella House in Dallas, Texas.

Mary’s faith was the cornerstone of her life, and she was a committed member of her church community. She found joy in travel, particularly to Maui, Hawaii, and cherished the outdoors through hiking adventures. Mary had a passion for cinema, enjoyed crocheting, treasured time with her grandchildren, and cultivated lasting memories with dear friends.

Mary is lovingly remembered for her compassionate spirit, unwavering faith, and profound impact on all who knew her. She leaves behind a legacy of service and kindness that will continue to inspire and uplift others.

Mary is survived by her two sons, Richard Earl Tinker and Joseph Aaron Tinker, grandchildren, Sarah Ashley Tinker-Wilson, Logan Tomas Tinker, April Marie Tinker, Dakota Grace Tinker and Fryven Aaron Solo Tinker, and sisters, Debra Smith and Shawna Smith (mother of Amanda Rose Roach and Anthony Jay Smith, Jr.

A memorial service will be held in Mary’s honor on August 4th at 3pm at 576 Sabine Creek Road, Royse City, Texas 75189. A livestream of the service will be available.
