On Saturday February 3rd North Forney Band Indoor groups started their competitive season. Winterguard was at Red Oak HS and earned 2nd place in their round and 3rd out of 14 schools in their classification. The show is entitled “Outside of the Box”. The performance was high energy and the judges were very complimentary of the colorguard’s performance level.
The winds and percussion groups were at Rowlett HS for the debut of their show. Both groups earned 1st place by being the only group in their respective classes. The winds 2023 production is called “For Whom the Bell Tolls”. With soloists Owen Whisenant & CJ Ganal, the performance was strong and earned a higher score than the opening 2023 contest. The percussion 2024 show is entitled “The Exodus”. The judges were very impressed with the sophistication and performance details of the performance. Congratulations to all on a great start of the 2024 indoor season.
