Leslie Lee McIntosh

It is with deep sorrow that we share the passing of our beloved Mother, Sister, and Aunt, Leslie Lee McIntosh of Dallas, Texas.

Leslie was born November 26, 1961, to Robert and Shirley McIntosh of Kansas City, Missouri. She passed into the loving arms of her Lord and Savior on January 25, 2024, surrounded by her loving family.

Leslie grew up playing softball and competitive swimming in Raytown, Missouri until the age of 14 when she moved to Dallas with her mother and sisters. She continued to reside in the Dallas area for the rest of her life, raising her three children, and developing many lifelong relationships. Leslie worked in a profession she loved. She began her accounting career by building a successful familyowned plumbing business in Forney, Texas, and then working for a variety of specialty contractors in the Dallas area.

Leslie was never one to shy away from a spontaneous adventure and passed this fearless and fun-loving spirit onto her children. Anyone who had the pleasure of knowing Leslie experienced her outstanding personality. Her many friendships encompassed all aspects of life, and each was very special to her; from family outings to sharing informal meals while watching her beloved Kansas City Chiefs. Leslie helped mentor many in times of sadness and difficulty. She was the friend who would drive you to doctor’s appointments and take you to lunch afterward. Leslie knew that friendships take work to maintain and she was willing to put forth the effort thus to reap the rewards.

Leslie always knew she wanted to someday raise a family of her own. She married, David Serrioz in 1978, and was soon blessed with a daughter Alicia. After a divorce, she met and married Tom Thompson in 1983 and was again blessed with a daughter, Andrea, and a son, Bryce.

Leslie is survived by her children; daughters Alicia Serrioz (Keisha) of Chapel Hill, NC, Andrea Clark (Spencer) of Mt. Vernon, TX, and son Bryce Thompson of Bertram, TX. Five grandsons; Brady and Baker Thompson, and Shepherd, Walker, and Dutton Clark. She is also sur vived by brothers Arthur Arnold, Jr (Mindy) of Frankfort, KY, Everett Arnold of Bates City, MO Lori Lazure of Pleasant Hill, MO, and Kelly Ellis (Cary) of Allen, TX. Leslie also leaves seven nieces, four nephews, and fifteen great-grandnephews and nieces.

A celebration of life will be held at Charles W. Smith and Sons Funeral Home, 2925 5th St, Sachse, TX, on Saturday, April 6, 2024, at 2:00 PM. Please consider a donation to: Oxford House, Inc. 1010 Wayne Avenue, Suite 300, Silver Spring Maryland 20910.

Leslie became a true hero as she selflessly gave the gift of life to three individuals donating her organs via Southwest Transplant Alliance. Her family is so very proud of her.
