The Layden Senior Citizens Center of Forney is located at 101 Main Street in City Hall, open Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM.
Monday through Thursday, please enter at the front or through handicap-accessible doors located at the back of City Hall. However, on Fridays when City Hall is closed, please enter at the front. Reserved parking for seniors is available 9:00-2:00.
Our Center is a non-profit organization, so we work on donations. All are greatly appreciated. We can often use volunteer drivers for meals on wheels deliveries as well.
We greatly appreciate our generous and consistent donors: Panera Bread, Papa John’s Pizza, Smurfit Kappa, and our Bingo sponsors, Alinea Hospice, Cheyenne Medical Lodge, Empower, Rely On Credit Union, and Oak Street Health. We invite you to frequent these wonderful businesses as often as you can.

This week, we had a Site Council meeting on Tuesday, 2/6 to introduce the new council members. Congrats to the new President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer and Event/Entertainer Planner!
Next week, on Tuesday, 2/13, will be Mardi Gras, or Fat Tuesday, with dessert being a King cake. The one who gets the baby will win a prize!
Wednesday, February 14 will be our Valentine’s Day party and Covered Dish. So bring your favorite side dish or dessert and wear something festive for heart day!
Thursday, February 15 will be crafts day at 10:00. Danielle has the makings for a wooden recipe holder, which should be beautiful.
