The best moments that happen during a celebration are the spontaneous ones involving people who want to share the moment with their people. As the entertainment portion of the event began with the student choral and dance groups showing off their moves and setting up the crowd for fun, the family groups making their way down to the arena floor to celebrate with the student performers the start of Emerald City’s performance reflected the enthusiastic, proud, and happy feelings everyone was experiencing.
The Keith Bell Opportunity Central Grand Opening occurred on the evening of February 2, 2024, with a packed evening of Forney Family celebrating this amazing building that is the first of its kind. The versatility of this building lies in its multipurpose campus that has a 600-seat theater and a 7500-seat arena space available for tournaments, concerts, and events. This career, college, and community center will operate seven days a week to accommodate businesses, community events, and entertainment. The OC provides career-focused programs, college courses, and a variety of businesses and eateries open to the community for high school students to gain real-world experiences and employment opportunities that could lead them to their future.
The Forney Education Foundation is a proud partner in The OC by sponsoring the space named Assembly Required. This area will be an innovation and makerspace that will offer opportunities for students and the community to make with purpose.
