Check out this week’s recipe for a chicken salad bursting with flavor that gets better as it sits in the refrigerator: https://healthylittlepeach.com/macs-awesome-saucechicken- salad/ If you are born in June, FYI there are three birthstones. The main reason why some months have multiple birthstones is because various ancient stones have become too rare, which makes it less likely for them to be available on the market. In 1912, the National Association of Jewelers met to standardize birthstones. At that time it was decided that June would have two birthstones: pearl and moonstone. This list was expanded in 1952 by the Jewelry Industry Council of American, who added alexandrite.
Did you know among most gemstones that are found within the Earth, that pearls have an organic origin? They are created inside the shells of certain species of oysters and clams.
The June birthday flowers are the rose and the honeysuckle.
Upcoming National Days include: Saturday, May 27 is National Grape and Grape Popsicle Day; Sunday, May 28 is National Hamburger and Brisket Day; Monday, May 29 is Memorial Day; Tuesday, May 30 is World Multiple Sclerosis Day and National Mint Julep Day; Tuesday, May 31 is World No Tobacco Day, National Smile Day, and drum roll please…..National Senior Health and Fitness Day! “In early June, the world of leaf and blade and flowers explode, and every sunset is different.” –John Steinbeck
