On Tuesday, I welcomed Athens residents to the Capitol in celebration of Athens Day. The Texas House recognized and commemorated their visit by passing House Resolution 345 declaring February 28th “Athens Day at the State Capitol.” I appreciate all who made the trip and thank you for the opportunity to serve as your State Representative!
Great evening in Athens on Saturday, celebrating the accomplishments of the East Texas Community Clinic. ETCC began in 2020, partners with the UT Health System training rural family medicine physicians while providing healthcare for over 7,000 patients from Henderson, Kaufman and Van Zandt counties!
Good to see Lawrence Randle of Kaufman County on behalf of AARP for a discussion on how we can continue to support the retirees of HD 4! Enjoyed the visit with Steven Gilchrist and the Gilchrist Automotive Team from Terrell at the Capitol discussing the critical need for workforce development across the state.
Grateful to Lone Star CASA of Kaufman County for making the trip to Austin to advocate for legislative priorities that would further protect vulnerable kids.
