The first Saturday in April brings the 5th Annual Casino Night for the Forney Education Foundation. This year’s event will be held at Silver Saloon in Terrell, April 1, 2023. Not only will there be casino games as well as live and silent auctions but also the announcing and awarding of the Teacher of the Year candidates from Forney ISD. There are still opportunities to be a sponsor at several levels for this fun event. Don’t delay on purchasing tickets as this event has sold out every year before the date! Individual tickets include dinner, 2 drink tickets, and $100 in casino chips.
Not only can you have a great evening playing your favorite casino games, but you will be supporting a great foundation that supports the students and teachers in Forney ISD. The teacher-requested grant program has been such a successful partnership for the many, many students that have had wonderful teachers presenting innovative grants that have enhanced the classroom experience. And as a member of the Grant Committee, I can tell you the best 2 days are when the Grant Train rolls through the District awarding grants to the teachers whose requests were funded. Unfortunately, not every grant can be funded as there is only so much money available. That is where attendance and participation in the Casino Night helps fund more grants!
