North Forney High School Student Mark Noriega Accepted to the School of Art Institute in Chicago

Congratulations to North Forney High School student, Mark Noriega, for his acceptance to the School of Art Institute in Chicago (SAIC) and being awarded the Presidential Scholarship, their highest merit scholarship.

Jennifer Holliday, his art teacher at North Forney, stated “As a department, campus, and district we are so incredibly proud of Mark’s accomplishments throughout his high school career. Mark was our campus’s first VASE Gold Seal recipient, was selected to participate in the Rhode Island School of Design Pre-College Program last summer, and received two Honorable Mentions and one Silver Key Award from the National Scholastic Art Contest this year. All this hard work has culminated in his acceptance to the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and his receiving of the Presidential Scholarship. Mark is a true example of what it means to strive for #Excellence! We can’t wait to see what the future holds for him.”
