We will officially enter the autumnal equinox at 8:03 p.m., September 22, 2022. And I think I speak for all of Forney, and Texas as a matter of course, Hallelujah! This Summer of 2022 has been a trying one for man, animals, and plants alike. But now that the Fall season has arrived, it is time to focus on the final months of the year.

Homecoming for North Forney High School is this week, with the game on Thursday the 22nd, and the official dance on Saturday. And it is also the final day to donate to North Texas Giving Day, 2022.

There are so many opportunities to give back and be involved in the Forney Community–not just helping the Forney Education Foundation but also the PTOs of the schools in Forney ISD, the Forney Food Pantry, the Forney Lions Club and so many more. The amazing aura that surrounds the Forney Family and the Forney Community is due to the very big hearts that exist in the area. There are many newcomers to our community– please don’t forget to welcome them into their new Hometown! It is always interesting to find out why they choose Forney–many times it is the school district. This is not surprising as our district is striving to prepare our students for life after senior year.

And this is where you can help! Get involved in your children or grandchildren’s school or the school closest to your home. Interested volunteers are always welcome to come help the wonderful, professional educators in this district. Please visit www.forneyisdfoundation. org to see how you can become a part of the Foundation or www. northtexasgivingday.org/ organization/ForneyEducationFoundation through midnight, September 22, 2022. Visit either one and make a difference!
